Blogging from the Taipei Airport after a mind numbing 12.5 hour flight. We still have a 2 hour flight to Hanoi. Have to say, the Premium Economy is worth it.
Waiting for the flight at SeaTac was a bit surreal - the cacophony of Asian languages. For some reason it is more disconcerting than traveling in Latin America or Italy. I guess I can figure out a lot of those words. Asian languages, not so much. I am about average height here though!
The plane was a Boeing 777 and quite comfy. The movie selection included When I Get Home, My Wife Pretends to be Dead and Put Grandma in the Freezer or the TV shows Stylish Man or How to Raise a Super Baby. I passed on all of those. The food selection included something called fish floss which was a crunchy powder, slightly sweet and vaguely fishy tasting. The safety information video were a number of dancers highly reminiscent of the dream scene in Oklahoma. Definitely a new experience.
